Amanda Martinez 
is one of Canada’s most respected Hispanic-Canadian singer-songwriters. Her Latin jazz style blends South African and Mexican influences. She has performed at the FIFA World Cup in South Africa and the Pan-American games in Canada and Mexico, sold out the biggest halls in Canada, and headlined the famous Blue Note jazz club in NYC. She also won Best World Music Artist  from the Toronto Independent Music Awards.  Her band includes Kevin Laliberté (guitar), Rosendo “Chendy” Leon (percussion), Drew Birston (bass) and Osvaldo Rodriguez (violin). 

Martinez has just released a new video “Estaba Cayendo” with dancers Adrián Ramírez Juárez and Akari Fujiwara from Canada’s Ballet Jörgen, and musicians Alexander Brown (trumpet), Waleed Abdulahamid (bass, vocals), Kevin Laliberté (guitar), Rosendo “Chendy” Leon (percussion), Drew Birston (bass), Osvaldo Rodriguez (violin).   

Choreographed by Debra Lynne Brown and Directed by Desh Fernando, it is a beautiful video filmed courtesy of FACTOR (The Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings).
